Colonial Secretary's Office, Victoria, Hong Kong, 14 October, 1855.
I have the honor to report that I have granted leave of absence to Lieutenant Governor Caine for two and a half months on medical certificate to visit England.
Colonel Caine will leave by tomorrow's Steamer, and his return to the Colony may be expected towards the end of November next.
